Salut. Am un ipod 4 cu ios6.1.6 si am vrut sa.i fac jb. Am descarcat redsn0w ios 6.0 si cand sa.mi puna exploit-ul imi da `Exploit failed`. Dece?

Din cauza ca, ori nu ai folosit redsnow in modul administrator (Run as admin) ori nu ai introdus corect telefonul in DFU mode. Eu cred ca a doua varianta este problema ...

Descarca ios 6.0.0 de pe getios.com si incearca din nou. Eventual si redsn0w din alta parte. Vezi ca in DFU telefonul este cu ecranul complet negru iar iTunes il vede in recovery, ai putea incerca asta ... Il bagi manual in DFU sau folosesti un utilitar?

Ok, for those having issues please try to sync your device with iTunes before running the jb.
Others have said to restore your iPhone if you are having problems. I did this multiple times with no luck. The real trick is to sync your device after the restore process. Don't know why, but that worked for me ..

Sau incearca asta:

Everything went fine. I restarted redsn0w and booted it tethered, and everything went fine, but when I went to open up Cydia, it did the "Open-close" thing like it was semi-tethered already. I'm not sure how redsn0w works exactly. Every time I try to "Just Boot" it now, it says the exploit failed.

Am I missing something really obvious? I also tried restoring 6.1.2 by pointing gs.apple.com to Cydia's server, but iTunes just gets stuck on verifying, so I guess I'll live with Redsn0w until Evasi0n comes out with something for 6.1.3.

Here's exactly what I did for all you users having the same problems.

Connect device to computer
Power device off
Put device in DFU mode
Open Redsn0w, click Extras, click Select IPSW, point it to 6.0 IPSW, hit Back
Now Jailbreak it. It will patch the kernel and everything and should ask you if you want to install Cydia, make sure it's checked and click Install.
If everything goes correctly, it will exploit with limera1n, and upload first, and second stage, and then upload the RAM.
Once your phone powers back on, open iTunes, and sync your device.
Once your device is synced, turn it back off.
Put your device into DFU mode.
Click Extras, click Select IPSW, select the same 6.0 IPSW that you had it pointed to for the Jailbreak.
Now click Just Boot.
If everything is as it should be, your device should be rebooting and once it is done, you should get a Cydia icon on your iDevice.
Once you start Cydia for the first time, it will ask you to update your essentials. Do this and it will ask your to reboot your iDevice. After it reboots, follow steps 7-11.
You will need to follow steps 7-11 everytime your iDevice gets rebooted. The syncing is what got me through my "Exploit Failed" error.
